About Birddog | Vicky & George Williams — Birddog Studio

Welcome to Birddog Studio, the creative home of mother and son artists, Vicky and George Williams.

Why Birddog? In 2011, George went to see Louise at Birdwoods in Havelock North to see if she would hold an exhibition. Louise loved the idea, set a date. George then went home to tell Vicky about it, and panic set in!

Vicky, based at the beach, was painting a lot of birds. George, slightly obsessed with dogs, Black Labradors to be precise, was creating artworks of dogs!! We called the exhibition Birddog.

From their home, Blackdog Cottage at Mangakuri Beach, Vicky and George create daily.

Vicky is a wonderful artist who has exhibited and created artworks for over 60 years.

George has a day job as a graphic designer and his own company, Blackdog Design.

They both have different styles, there are paintings, there is photography, there is sculpture, and there is fun!

So, sit back and relax, be a sticky beak, nose around their artworks.
